The home side set the pace in the first quarter by building on turnover balls in their defensive centre area and by starving the Jamaican shooters of possession.
England's quick ball through the mid-court also helped, wing-defence Sara Bayman and goal-defence Sonia Mkoloma halting the ball's progress into the circle.
