Rica’s Fernando Aguilar was the expert on duty for an ITTF Basic
Umpires and Referees Course, organized under the auspices of the ITTF
Development Program, in the Caribbean island of Barbados in early
October 2009.
The Basic Umpires Course was held from Monday 5th
to Thursday 8th October followed by the Basic Referees Course from
Friday 9th to Sunday 11th October. Five men and four women attended the
Basic Umpires Course whilst six women and three men were present at the
Basic Referees Course.
