MMOexp-Skull and Bones Mastering the Electric Frigate Build
-

Skull and Bones is packed with customization, experimentation, and over-the-top naval chaos-but few setups bring as much raw satisfaction as the electric torpedo Frigate build. In this article, we'll break down a devastating electric damage loadout centered around one of the game's most iconic vessels: the Frigate. With thunder cannons up front, lightning-powered torpedoes on the sides, and an arsenal of mods that amplify every zap and shockwave, this ship turns the high seas into a floating battlefield of static death Skull and Bones Items.

Why the Frigate?

The Frigate has long been a fan favorite for its balance of bulk, firepower, and torpedo compatibility. With over 128,000 hull health, it provides enough durability to outlast most engagements while housing some of the game's nastiest weapon combos. It's not the fastest ship in the water, but once you're locked in and firing, speed becomes irrelevant. This build takes full advantage of the Frigate's tankiness while enhancing its offensive potential through electrified damage stacking and explosive torpedoes.

Front Weapon: Thunder Dragon Cannons

At the core of this build are the Thunder Dragon demic cannons, mounted on the front. These weapons specialize in dealing electric damage and have a unique passive:

Every volley that strikes an enemy's sails has a chance to summon a lightning strike dealing 5,000 damage.

Every five hits increases this chance by 15%, up to 45%.

If the target has torn sails, the strike damage doubles to 10,000.

To boost this effect, the build incorporates Shock, Amplified Electric, and Tearing rolls. Together, they synergize perfectly-tearing increases the chance to activate torn sails, which in turn boosts the lightning damage from Thunder Dragon shots. This synergy is what gives the front-facing weapon its power and utility.

Side Weapons: Heavenly Lance Torpedoes

No electric Frigate build is complete without a brutal torpedo setup, and Heavenly Lance is a standout choice. While not the outright top damage torpedo in raw numbers, it comes in a very close second and synergizes beautifully with an electric-focused strategy.

These torpedoes come with Shock, making them capable of delivering status effects that help trigger electric perks and amplify damage. Rolls to aim for include:

 Amplified Electric-Increases electric damage.

 Second Storm-Grants powerful follow-up shock-based effects.

Long Arm-Extends damage range and improves performance from a distance.

Rear Weapon: Eye of Heaven

Mounted on the back of the Frigate is the Eye of Heaven, an excellent auxiliary weapon for an electric-centric setup. Its passive, Tempest, arcs lightning to nearby enemies (within 150m) upon each successful hit, dealing 2,500 electric damage per strike. Additional perks:

Blast-Adds 15% of the damage as AoE explosive damage.

Electric II-Adds 20% more damage as electric.

Though not perfectly rolled in this particular setup (Shock, Blast Range, and Soul Mending), it still holds its own. With a few better RNG pulls, this could become a top-tier finisher weapon for weakened enemies or clustered targets.

Armor: Black Prince

For survivability, the Black Prince armor is used. It provides:

40% damage reduction when hull health drops below 33%.

With the Frigate's massive HP pool, this effect kicks in when you're still quite tanky compared to other ships. It allows for greater risk-taking in close fights or when charging enemies to get torpedoes off cleanly.

Furniture Loadout

The furniture selections here are optimized for torpedo performance and secondary damage boosts across all electric weapons.

Build Fire Barrels

10% boost to secondary damage of broadside weapons.

5% flat increase to broadside weapon damage.

Torpedo Works

 +19% secondary torpedo damage.

Hubac Tuning Rack

 +14% max range on torpedoes.

 -25% arming distance.

 +10% torpedo projectile speed.

Tuning Station

 +20% torpedo secondary damage.

 +13% projectile speed.

 +10% stamina regen outside combat.

Ramrod Workshop

-7% reload time for broadside weapons.

+7% secondary damage on those weapons.

Copper Fastening Station

Storm Struck buff: Increases next attack damage by 50% after triggering Storm Struck.

 +12% secondary electric weapon damage.

 +8% range to electric weapons.

Pro Tip: If you don't have the Copper Fastening Station yet, swap in Charge Stores for a comparable DPS boost. The two furniture options are neck and neck depending on whether you're prioritizing front-load burst or sustained electric burn.Cosmetics and Optional Tweaks

Cosmetics, as always, are up to the player. This build favors function over form, so prioritize visual elements that make your ship easy to identify in chaotic fights or ones that help visibility in low-light scenarios.

Performance and Drawbacks

In combat, this Frigate build excels at area denial, status stacking, and obliterating slow or unaware targets. A single torpedo volley from both sides, combined with a Tempest rear arc and Thunder Dragon broadside, can chunk most enemies below half health in seconds. The combo of Tearing sails and lightning-based follow-ups makes this a nightmare for ships that rely on positioning or speed.

However, it's not without drawbacks:

Slow acceleration and maneuvering mean you'll need to plan ahead in fights.

Some rolls weren't ideal (particularly Soul Mending on Eye of Heaven and Blast Range), but even with suboptimal RNG, the damage output remains high.

Certain bosses or PvP opponents with electric resistance may reduce the build's effectiveness-but the secondary explosive and projectile speed bonuses help offset this.

Final Thoughts

This electric Frigate build isn't just viable-it's a powerhouse. With a focus on shock synergy, long-range torpedo pressure, and electrified broadside barrages, it turns naval engagements into thunderous light shows of destruction. While some rolls could always be better Skull and bones items for sale cheap, even the current setup holds up well in both PvE and PvP scenarios.

If you're looking to shake up your Skull and Bones gameplay and dominate the seas with a storm of electric fury, this build is absolutely worth trying.
