The latest addition to NBA 2K23 NBA 2K MT allows you to determine how quickly or slowly the shot meter will appear, when it is enabled. There are four different options in Controller Settings: Very Early, Early, Late, along with Very Late. Although experimenting with these settings will change the animations of your jump shots, it will influence the speed at which the display of the meter. Personally, we prefer it to be Very Early.
Since the meter is displayed within a few seconds of pressing the button, you'll get the opportunity to time your release, but if you're consistently undercooking your shots you might prefer the time of release to be Late to somewhere between the middle. The best way to find the best method for you is to practice with once your favorite players in 2KU.
By default, your defensive Assist Buy 2K MT Strength will be at fifty in your Controller Settings. This function tries to anticipate the movements of your opponents you're protecting, however, we've noticed that it's far too in some instances to be aggressive. You can switch off this feature entirely if it's your belief in your own abilities on the sticks, but we recommend keeping it at a minimum so that you'll have some magnetism to keep you ahead of the competition. It's a good idea to spend time in 2KU to figure out the best settings for you and we think around 25 is a good zone.
