“Sleepers” is one of the most significant Hollywood dramas of the 1990s. This film touches upon some complex ethical issues. For instance, the main characters of the film kill the people who destroyed their childhoods by subjecting them to sexual abuse. At the end of the movie, when they are under the trial, their fate totally depends on the decision of the priest – it is up to him whether to tell the truth concerning their guilt, or to save the characters’ lives.
